NIBCA / PBCA members receive awards…
Coeur d’Alene, ID – February 17, 2012 – The North Idaho Building Contractors Association (NIBCA), a non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting and protecting the local building industry, held its monthly general membership meeting on February 15 which also included the presentation of two state awards presented by the Idaho Building Contractors Association (IBCA). In a rare show of dominance, North Idaho took home from Boise two of the three annual awards given by IBCA.
The IBCA annual award for Company of the Year was presented to R.R. Bradley & Associates, CPA and Barb Bradley. Ms. Bradley, a long time member of NIBCA who was awarded Company of the Year at the local level for 2010 and 2011 was recognized by IBCA this past year for her many hours of accounting guidance and contributions related to a specific government affairs project with state-wide implications. Additionally, it was R.R. Bradley & Associates’ many contributions to local civic organizations and charitable causes that the Past Presidents Committee of IBCA took into consideration when making their decision.
As a Board member of the Panhandle Building Contractors Association (PBCA) in Sandpoint, it was NIBCA’s Executive Director Larry Jeffres who took home IBCA’s Associate of the Year award. In addition to his duties for NIBCA, Jeffres is the Marketing Director for R.C. Worst & Co. in Coeur d’Alene. His contributions to both local associations in combination with chairing IBCA’s HomePac Committee and sitting on the Registered Master Builders Committee was taken into consideration in selecting Jeffres. Nominated for the award by PBCA, Past President of PBCA John Knowles made the presentation.
“We are very proud of Barb and Larry”, said Angela Erickson NIBCA’s president. “They are representative of many NIBCA members that make our association one of the best in the state of Idaho.” NIBCA hold its monthly general membership meetings at the Best Western Coeur d’Alene Inn on the third Wednesday of each month beginning at 5:00 PM with the social hour. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be March 21.
