The North Idaho Building Contractors
Association invites you to visit office and the
NIBCA 4th Street Plan & Bid Center at 1928 N. 4th Street, Coeur d'Alene,
Idaho.

Our History
The NIBCA was established in 1970 and chartered by the
National Association of Home Builders in 1972. For 38 years, the NIBCA has
worked to the benefit of the building industry in North Idaho. With
approximately 300 member companies, the NIBCA represents nearly every
employment-facet of the building industry.
President's
Message
“BECOMING INVOLVED IN
YOUR ASSOCIATION, KEEPS IT STRONG.”
As I reflect on 2007 and look
forward to 2008, several things have come to mind about the North Idaho Building
Contractors Association…
Our
membership is among the best in the state. We have better working relationships
with our local cities, county, and state governing bodies than many of the other
local associations around the state. Monthly meetings with the Kootenai County
Commissioners and quarterly meetings with Panhandle Health District allow us to
keep the doors open for good communication and understanding. These
relationships will enable us to move forward in our industry as a group and as
individuals. Being a member means you are part of a larger group that cares
enough about the building industry to be proactive and vocal about our needs and
the needs of our communities.
Our
commitment to local charities, community activities, and local youth continues
to grow. Our education committee continues to work with North Idaho College and
local schools to promote future careers in the construction industry. Our
involvement with the Festival of Trees, Educational Scholarships, and our
contribution to the local food banks last year was phenomenal. We are involved
and a vital part of our communities.
The Parade of
Homes and the Home and Garden Show continue to offer maximum exposure for the
North Idaho Building Contractors Association to our local communities. These
two events alone emphasize our commitment to excellence within the building
industry. I look forward to both of these events in 2008 and I know they will
continue to be a success for not only the builders and subcontractors but for
the homeowners and visitors as well. Good luck to all who participate in these
two main events in 2008.
This
organization has worked hard to become a respected leader in the local, county,
and state arenas. We have come together as a whole with our Board of Directors,
membership, various committees, and Women’s Council to create a concerned and
thoughtful group. Just because we are a serious community organization does not
mean we do not know how to have fun. All you have to do is look at the pictures
from past annual “Jamaican Me Crazy” Cruises, the Holiday Galas, the various
Golf Tourneys, and even the Monthly Membership Meetings to know what a bunch of
crazies we really can be. We work hard and we have fun.
Thank you all
for a terrific 2007 and I look forward to an even better 2008.
